Burke Williams

burke williams spa santa monica jacuzziA day at Burke Williams yanks us from our desk chair and smothers us in the sensations of the ultimate urban retreat – soft music, fruit-infused water, rock jacuzzis, fuzzy robes, and the catatonic relaxation of their signature massage. We love soaking sore muscles in the hot tub before service, and lathering up with Kiehl’s products in the locker room afterwards. One of the best gifts you can give to loved ones (our father raves about his visits), this is also a gift you won’t want to miss for yourself.

We love:

  • The Burke Williams Experience – A 50-minute Swedish massage with heat pads and Chinese herbs, this sounded near homeopathic and felt extravagantly comforting. In addition to the perfect pressure, the Chinese herbs were massaged onto our skin for an exfoliating touch. Our 50 minutes felt longer, and we were grateful for our therapist’s guidance through the Burke Williams treatment room labyrinth as we were a bit too knocked out to find our way alone.
  • Enzyme Facial – Though Burke Williams is known for massage and body treatments, their revitalizing skin care offerings are sometimes overlooked. We were hot in anticipation of the Enzyme Facial, a deep skin detox that also features two peels and an enzyme mask. Burke Williams prides itself on quality control and a consistent, signature style. The 80-minute treatment was choreographed from start to finish with hot towels and circular facial massage motions but customized sufficiently for our skin type so we didn’t just feel renewed but also looked renewed. We loved the gentle demeanor of our aesthetician (essential for extractions!) and our skin looked healthy and well-rested – a near impossibility that week.
Tips:

Sign up for email offers! Burke Williams runs periodic specials, with massages specially priced from $89-105.

With extensive amenities including whirpools, jacuzzis, steam rooms and saunas, a gift card from BW is always a hit with recipients.
